I’m in the midst of a years-long fixation on Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings of bones, specifically Cow’s Skull with Calico Roses at the Art Institute of Chicago. I can’t paint like O’Keeffe, but I can paint like me, so here’s a sort-of homage, in acrylic and pyrography on wood panel.
